Andersons' Ices began in 2010, when Neil and Janet Anderson brought a little piece of England, the home of the classic ice cream van, to the Gold Coast. It started with one van, the familiar chime of Greensleeves and a simple idea: do it properly, every single time.

Sammy was just fourteen when the family made the move to Australia. She grew up around the van, helping wherever she could, before joining her Mum and Dad in the business. Today, Andersons' Ices is proudly a second-generation family business.

Over the years we've owned five ice cream vans, served at more than 1,000 events and created countless memories along the way. Some of the children who once queued at our serving window now book us for their own events, and we still hear stories about birthday parties from years ago.

While plenty has changed over the years, one thing hasn't. We still believe an ice cream van has a way of bringing people together. Kids light up, grown-ups become kids again, and an ordinary day becomes one people remember.

A moment of magic in a busy world. And if that's all we achieve, then every minute has been worth it.

What Our Customers Say About Us

“Thank you Andersons' Ices for making ours the happiest wedding guests ever! We decided to serve ice cream straight after our ceremony in the park. It was a hot day and everyone (both little and big kids) enjoyed the sweet treats...some even went back for seconds :) Everyone raved about the ice cream, and since the wedding nearly every comment I have received was about how the ice cream truck was a stroke of genius! For such an economical cost it was the best decision we made. Thanks to Janet who made the whole process easy and fun. If you are thinking of hiring an ice cream van for your event you simply cannot go past Andersons' Ices.”

“Sammy from Andersons' Ices will be the talk of prep in my sons class! Thank you so much for making my Levis 6th birthday so special, it was such a hit with all his little friends and the parents. We could not fault the service at all, nothing was any trouble, Sammy was such a delight, the ice cream was delish, and the happy birthday song was such a great touch. Levi will be smiling about his very own ice cream van at his party for many years to come! We'll be recommending it to everyone! x”

“We had a special visit from the blue ice cream van for my daughter's 18th party. It played "Happy Birthday" as it drove up the street to our house - awesome. It was a huge hit with everyone - from the 2 year olds through to the 72 year olds. Better than organising desserts for 60 guests. What fun. Thanks Andersons' Ices.”
Amanda
“Thank you so much Andersons' Ices for making our formal one of the most memorable experiences from our schooling lives. Sammy went above and beyond exceeding all our expectations for our formal arrival with her incredible level of service and care. The arrival was the talk of the town and everyone raved about the van. I could not recommend Andersons' Ices enough for any type of event. Thankyou so much Neil, Janet and Sammy. A night to remember.”

Why Families And Organisers Choose Us

What makes Andersons' Ices different?

We're a genuine family-owned business that's been serving the Gold Coast since 2010. More than 1,000 events later, we still believe the little things matter, from a spotless van and friendly service to creating moments people genuinely remember.

Do you need setup time at our event?

No. The van rolls up ready to serve with no marquees to build, no equipment to assemble and no setup required. We arrive fully self-contained with our own generator, so there's no need to provide power or water. If there's a power point nearby, we're always grateful to use it, but it's never expected.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. We hold a current Licence for Food Business (Mobile), a Gold Coast Roadside Vending Permit, and $20 million public liability insurance. Certificates and documentation are available on request for your venue or event organiser.

Do you really do school formals?

Absolutely. Arriving in an ice cream van is a fun and memorable way to make an entrance, and it's always a talking point on the night.
