A Family Ice Cream Van Story, Made On The Gold Coast

Andersons' Ices began in 2010, when Neil and Janet Anderson brought a little piece of England, the home of the classic ice cream van, to the Gold Coast. What started as one van and the familiar chime of Greensleeves grew into a family business, with daughter Sammy joining in alongside her Mum and Dad.

Over the years, we've owned five different ice cream vans, served more than 1,000 events, and created countless happy memories along the way. While the van has changed, the magic hasn't. We're known for our sparkling clean van, our care and our happy vibes, and organisers love that we roll up ready to serve, with no setup needed, fully permitted and insured.

Why do we do it? Because when the van rolls in, time stops for a moment. Kids light up, grown-ups turn into kids, and an ordinary day becomes one people remember. That's the kind of magic we're here to create.

How much does it cost to hire an ice cream van?

Every event is different, so pricing is a tailored quote. Tell us your date, location and guest count and we'll come back with a package.

Do you do ice cream catering for events?

Yes. Ice cream catering is exactly what we do, from community events, school fetes and festivals to sporting days, birthdays, weddings and formals. We roll up ready to serve with no setup needed, fully permitted and insured, and we're set up to serve a crowd fast.

Are you a Mr Whippy van?

Mr Whippy is a different business. We're Andersons' Ices, a Gold Coast family business serving the same classic whippy-style soft serve since 2010, right down to the Greensleeves chime.

Do you cater for dietary needs?

Yes. Gluten-free and dairy-free options are available. Let us know your requirements when you book.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. We hold a current Licence for Food Business (Mobile), a Gold Coast Roadside Vending Permit, and $20 million public liability insurance. Certificates and documentation are available on request for your venue or event organiser.

Do you travel outside the Gold Coast?

Yes. We regularly travel throughout the Gold Coast, the Hinterland and South East Queensland. If your event is outside our usual service area, just get in touch. We'll always do our best to help and can provide a tailored quote based on your location.
